Nicknames are a lot like a sweaty t-shirt on a fat man's back --once it gets thrown on, its going to stick there for awhile.
People often ask me how I got my nickname. I always respond the same way, "handsome is more of an adjective than a nickname."
I wonder if God ever gives us nicknames. We do know that Jesus called James and John the "Sons of Thunder" and Simon was called "Rocky." And let's not forget Thaddaeus "What's his face" Malone or Simon "he who smelt it, dealt it" the Zealot.
I wonder if God has a special nickname for me.
