I knew at some point in my work with a missions agency I would eventually have to encounter a situation in which my friends and colleagues would find themselves in harm's way. However, I never anticipated that this dreadful day would come on the heels of my second day on the job.
This morning we received word that my friends and colleagues (an undisclosed region) are evacuating their homes due to the political crisis that is unfolding across that land. My heart hurts for the anguish that must exist in the souls and minds of both the nationals and the missionaries who call this region home.
Would you join me in praying for God to intervene in this land to bring peace so that our work may continue? Would you pray for the missionaries who are trying to make their way out of harm's reach? Would you pray for fellow brothers and sisters in (an undisclosed region) whose homeland is experiencing such turmoil?
God have mercy!

We are in prayer. We know God is everywhere but in times like this we just wish there was more that we could do. Makes me glad we serves a God of justice and a God that will sometime bring ultimate peace. Glad you all are setting in well. Enjoy the warm weather.
